Ribbit ribbit! 🐸

Ribbit! Hello, my fellow swamp-dwellers and fly-chasers! Welcome back to the Lily Pad Log, where the water is always a little green and the bugs are extra juicy. Today, I, your favorite web-footed wordsmith, am here to croak about something very important: the art of the perfect leap.

First off, ribbit ribbit — why leap at all? Because sitting on the same lily pad all day is for tadpoles! You gotta stretch those legs, feel the wind under your belly, and sploosh into new waters. Yesterday I leaped over three dragonflies and a suspicious heron. Personal best! My technique? Bend the knees (well, what passes for knees in frog world), eyes locked on target, and BOING! Pure frog magic.

But beware, my slippery friends. Not all leaps are created equal. Some pads look shiny from afar but turn out to be... a floating plastic bag. Tragic. Always test the water first with one toe. Ribbit.

Now, on to the important stuff: flies. Oh, the flies! Crunchy, buzzy, and gone in one tongue-flick. Pro tip from this old bullfrog — wait for the slow ones. The fast ones will mock you and make your tongue tired. Patience is a virtue, especially when your dinner is doing loop-de-loops around your head.

Also, important public service announcement: If you see a human with a net, JUMP. They say “aww cute frog,” but next thing you know you’re in a terrarium eating sad little crickets. No thank you. Freedom is one good leap away.

In conclusion, my pond pals: Live boldly. Croak loudly. Leap often. And always keep one eye out for herons.

What’s your best leap story? Drop it in the comments (or just splash it my way). Until next time, stay moist and magnificent.

Ribbit ribbit, over and out.

P.S. If this post made you smile, please share with a toad. They need it. 🐸💚
